That is what Sport Vlaanderen - the sports administration of the Flemish government - believes in, and why it works every day together with the sports sector to make sports and exercise more attractive and accessible, tailored to every athlete. To this end, Sport Vlaanderen invests in sports federations, clubs and events, in sports infrastructure (including 14 of its own centres), in trainer training, in sports promotion, in knowledge sharing and in top-level sports.
Flanders is mad about cycling, which is why Sport Vlaanderen supports cycling in all its disciplines. Wherever you live in Flanders, a mountainbike route is never far away. Sport Vlaanderen developed and coordinates 188 routes that together provide 8656.8 km of MTB and gravel fun. In Heusden-Zolder, with local partners, they built and operate a brand-new velodrome, tailor-made for major championships. They support innovative cycling clubs where possible, and with Flanders-Baloise they even have our own cycling team, in which they prepare young, local talents for the top.
