In the misty morning air the U23 Women's European Championship race rang out at the Zolder circuit. On Koning Boudewijnlaan it was Sofie van Rooijen who sprinted to the European title. Silver went toScarlett Souren and Eleonora Gasparrini took the bronze.
On the roads between Heusden-Zolder and Hasselt, nine cycling nations competed for the European title. Italy rode in commanding style to win their second European title, with Germany and Belgium taking the other places on the podium.
Nine countries competed from Heusden-Zolder to Hasselt in the Junior Mixed Relay Team Time Trial over 52.3 km. The Netherlands claimed the European title, with Germany and Norway completing the podium.
