Sport Flanders and the Province of Limburg are inviting all companies and Limburg residents to take part in a fantastic challenge in honour of the upcoming Road European Championships in Limburg. From 1 August to 10 September 2024, they want to cycle an impressive 220,000 kilometres together - that’s no less than 1,000 times the distance of the European Championships course. Come and cycle with us and have a chance of winning great prizes!

The European Championships Bike Challenge is not your average promotional event. With the challenge, Sport Vlaanderen and the Province of Limburg want to get as many employees and Limburg residents as possible on their bicycles and at the same time contribute to the ‘A bicycle for everyone’ Fund. With this Fund, the Fietsersbond (cyclists’ association) aims to combat transport poverty among children and young people. Make a contribution yourself and help support this good cause. Every kilometre you cycle brings us closer to the shared goal and helps make cycling accessible to all.

How to take part?

Take part in the European Championships Challenge by following these steps:

  1. Register yourself or your municipality/city as a company at Sign up and register your cycled kilometres. Rides can be registered as from 1 August, the start of the challenge.
  2. Cycle as much as you can: Every kilometre counts! Whether you are cycling to work, going on a pleasure ride or taking on a sporting challenge.
  3. Have a chance of winning great prizes: The company (5 people) and the individual participants who cover the most kilometres (first man, first woman and 2 per lottery draw) will have a chance of winning fantastic prizes such as VIP tickets to the European Championships or an initiation to track cycling.

Why should you participate?

Still hesitating to join the European Championships Challenge? Here are some reasons why your participation is so important!

  • Support for a good cause: Every donation, no matter how small, contributes to the ‘A bicycle for everyone’ Fund. Donations of €40 and over are 45% tax-deductible.
  • Health and well-being: Cycling is a great way to keep fit and clear your mind.
  • Sustainability: Cycling is environmentally friendly! On the platform, you can see how much CO2 you have saved by cycling instead of taking the car.

  • Unique prizes: Besides the satisfaction of your efforts, you will have the opportunity to win exclusive experiences and prizes.

This is your chance to be part of a great Limburg adventure and do something for a good cause at the same time. Give it your full support, challenge your friends and colleagues, and cycle along with us for a better world.
