The Pentecost weekend in Hasselt this year is once again a true cycling weekend. On Sunday, May 19th, the city will be entirely dedicated to cycling during 'Hasselt Fietst'. One of the activities on the agenda is the European Championship for balance bikes.
Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly activity for your toddler or preschooler (2 to 4.5 years old)? The European Championship for balance bikes offers the perfect opportunity for your child to discover the world of cycling in a playful way. Bring your own balance bike and helmet, and you're ready to participate in the race. No balance bike? No problem! You can borrow one on site. Perhaps you'll discover the perfect balance bike to take home from the bike library.
We'll divide the children into different waves based on age. Before the start, as a parent, you'll have the chance to explore the course with your child. Then it's time to gather at the starting line for the beginning of the race. Once the starting signal sounds, the children will have 5 minutes to give it their all and complete the course.
European Championship gadget and medal
Participation is winning, which is why every little racer will receive a medal, a diploma, and a fun European Championship gadget! Want to secure a spot? Register at least 15 minutes in advance at the information stand on Kolonel Dusartplein. Each child will receive their own personalized bib number. On-site registrations are possible as long as the session is not full.
